Build Your First Copper Beacon Pyramid

Gather Your Copper Blocks

Mine copper ore and smelt it into copper ingots, then craft these into copper blocks. You'll need multiple stacks depending on pyramid size. Any solid copper block variant works—raw copper blocks, cut copper, or oxidized forms all function identically for beacon construction.

Construct the Pyramid

Place your beacon on the ground first. Stack copper blocks in the classic pyramid pattern:

  • Layer 1 (bottom): 3×3 square of copper blocks
  • Layer 2: 2×2 square, centered on top
  • Layer 3: 1×1 single block
  • Place your beacon on top

The pyramid doesn't need to be solid—only the outer edges matter. You can leave the interior hollow to save materials.

Activate Your Beacon

Once built, open the beacon's menu. Instead of iron, gold, diamond, or netherite ingots, place copper ingots into the payment slot. Select your desired effect (Speed, Haste, Resistance, Jump Boost, or Strength depending on pyramid height) and the beacon activates. Effects apply to all players in range.

Copper beacons work identically to traditional beacons—taller pyramids unlock more effect options.
