Personalize HUD Messages for Individual Players

Using Player-Specific Customization

The Coords HUD Mod supports the Placeholder API, allowing you to create messages that display different content based on which player is viewing them.

Creating Player-Specific Messages

1. Open your mod's configuration file

2. In the message format section, use player-related placeholders like {player} for the viewing player's name

3. Combine this with other placeholders for dynamic content, such as Welcome {player}! You are at {x}, {y}, {z}

4. Save your configuration

5. Each player will see their own name and coordinates in the message

Advanced Customization

You can create conditional messages or different displays for different player groups by editing separate message entries in your config. The Placeholder API ensures that each player's HUD reflects their unique data without requiring individual configuration files. This is especially useful for multiplayer servers where you want personalized welcome messages or coordinate tracking for each player.
