Create Server-Wide Custom HUD Messages

Broadcasting Custom Messages to All Players

The Coords HUD Mod allows server administrators to display custom messages to all connected players simultaneously using a centralized configuration.

Setting Up Server Messages

1. Locate the mod's config or database file on your server (typically in the config/ directory)

2. Add a new message entry with your desired text

3. Use Placeholder API syntax to include dynamic information like player names or coordinates

4. Example placeholders: {player} for player name, {x}, {y}, {z} for coordinates

5. Save the configuration file

6. Reload the mod or restart the server to apply changes

Benefits for Large Servers

This approach is efficient because messages are stored in a dedicated config/database file rather than the world save, reducing file bloat. The mod minimizes packet transmission, so displaying messages to hundreds of players won't cause server lag. You can update messages without restarting by using reload commands if supported by your mod version.
