Find and Resolve Keybind Conflicts

Open the Controls Menu

Press Escape to open the main menu, then navigate to Options > Controls. The Controlling Mod enhances this screen with conflict detection.

Identify Conflicting Keys

Look for keybinds highlighted or marked as conflicting. The mod displays which actions share the same key assignment. Conflicts occur when two different mods or game features try to use the same key.

Resolve the Conflict

Click on one of the conflicting keybinds to reassign it. Press your desired key combination—the mod will warn you if that key is already in use elsewhere. Choose an unused key or one you're willing to reassign.

Search by Key

Use the search functionality to see all bindings for a specific key. This helps you understand the full picture before making changes and prevents accidentally creating new conflicts.

Save Your Changes

Once you've reassigned conflicting keys, your changes save automatically when you close the controls menu. Test your keybinds in-game to confirm they work as expected.
