Freeze a Container Tooltip to Inspect Item Details

Using Lock Mode

Container Preview Mod includes a lock feature that keeps a tooltip visible so you can examine items more carefully.

1. Hover your mouse over a container (shulker box, bundle, backpack, or ender chest)

2. Press the lock/freeze keybind (check your mod settings for the default key) while the tooltip is visible

3. The tooltip will remain on screen even if you move your cursor away

4. You can now inspect individual items, check stack sizes, and read detailed information without the preview disappearing

Unfreezing the Tooltip

Press the lock keybind again to unfreeze and return to normal hover behavior. This is helpful when you need to compare items across multiple containers or carefully plan what to move where without constantly re-hovering over the same box.
