Oritech machines are the backbone of progression in Contained Opolis. Learning to build and operate them early will accelerate your journey significantly.

Building Your First Machine

1. Gather the required materials by mining asteroids and processing basic blocks. Check what your first single-block machine needs.

2. Place the machine block in a clear, accessible location. Single-block machines are compact and don't require multiblock assembly.

3. Insert input materials into the machine using hoppers, item pipes, or by hand. Most machines have designated input and output slots.

4. Provide power if the machine requires it. Early machines may run passively or need minimal energy to operate.

5. Collect output items from the machine's output slot. Automate this with hoppers or item transport systems for continuous operation.

6. Upgrade to multiblock machines once you understand single-block operation. Multiblock structures are more powerful but require careful assembly.

Start with simple material processing machines, then progress to more complex automation as you gather better resources and understand the mod's progression path.
