Craft and Equip Your First Space Suit

Preparing for the Void

Before exploring the dangerous asteroid fields and custom dimensions, you need protective gear. A space suit allows you to survive in the void and access special crafting recipes involving goo.

Gathering and Crafting

1. Collect space suit materials by mining asteroids and processing them through Oritech machines. Early machines can break down raw asteroid blocks into usable components.

2. Set up an Oritech machine to automate material processing. Single-block machines are ideal for beginners and require minimal setup compared to multiblock structures.

3. Craft suit components at a crafting table once you have the necessary materials. Space suit pieces typically include a helmet, chestplate, leggings, and boots.

4. Equip your full suit in your armor slots. Once worn, you'll be protected from the void's hazards and can safely explore dangerous areas.

5. Test your suit by stepping into an airless area. You should take no damage and be able to breathe normally.

With your suit equipped, you can now explore beyond your starting chamber and access goo-based crafting recipes that require special conditions.
