Understand Which Foods Have Animations

Comprehensive Food List

Consumability covers most vanilla foods. Fruits and vegetables include apples, carrots, potatoes, melons, sweet berries, and chorus fruit. Meats include all raw and cooked variants of beef, pork, mutton, rabbit, and chicken, plus fish types and rotten flesh. Drinks and meals include all potions, milk, honey, and soups like mushroom stew and beetroot soup. Baked goods include bread, cookies, and pumpkin pie.

Special Items

Golden apples and enchanted golden apples animate. Golden carrots and glow berries are included. Spider eyes and pufferfish also have animations.

What's Not Included

Some foods added by mods won't animate unless Consumability is updated to support them. Vanilla-only foods should all work.

How to Check

Simply hold right-click on any food. If it shrinks or changes appearance, it's supported. If it uses the default eating animation, it's not yet included.
