Troubleshoot Missing or Broken Bite Animations
Verify the Pack is Active
Open your resource packs menu and confirm Consumability appears in the Active list, not the Available list. If it's not there, move it from right to left.
Check Your Minecraft Version
Consumability is designed for vanilla Minecraft. Ensure you're running an unmodded client (or one with only cosmetic mods). Some gameplay-altering mods can interfere with animations.
Clear Your Cache
Minecraft sometimes caches old textures. Close the game completely, then delete the resourcepacks cache folder if it exists, and restart.
Test With Vanilla Foods
Start with basic items like apples or bread. If these don't animate, the pack isn't loading correctly. If they work but other foods don't, those foods might not be supported yet.
Conflicting Packs
Disable all other resource packs temporarily. If animations appear, you've found a conflict. Re-enable packs one at a time to identify the culprit.
Reinstall if Needed
If nothing works, remove the pack and reinstall it fresh from a trusted source.
