Reset a Single Mod's Configuration to Default

Resetting Individual Configs

If a single mod is misbehaving or you want to start fresh with one mod's settings without affecting others, use the reset function.

Steps

1. Open your mod list (NeoForge or Mod Menu)

2. Find Config Manager Mod

3. Select Reset option

4. Choose the specific configuration file(s) you want to reset

5. Confirm the action

The selected config file will be restored to the modpack's default version from /config/modpack_defaults.

Important Notes

If no default version exists in the modpack_defaults folder, the mod may create a fresh configuration file based on the mod's built-in defaults. Always back up important configuration files before resetting if you're unsure. After resetting, restart your game to ensure the changes load properly.
