Understand Config Categories and Settings Types
How Settings Are Organized
Config API Mod presents mod settings in a structured, readable format. Settings are grouped into logical categories so you can quickly find what you're looking for without scrolling through hundreds of options.
Common Setting Types
Toggle/Boolean Settings: Simple on/off switches for features. Click to enable or disable.
Numeric Values: Sliders or text fields for numbers (damage multipliers, spawn rates, distances). Drag the slider or type a value directly.
Dropdown Menus: Choose from a predefined list of options (difficulty levels, modes, or behaviors).
Text Fields: Enter custom text like names or identifiers.
Reading Descriptions
Most settings include a tooltip or description explaining what they do. Hover over or select a setting to see more details about its purpose and current value.
Resetting to Defaults
If you've changed settings and want to start over, look for a Reset or Restore Defaults button, usually at the bottom of the config screen. This varies by mod.
