Modify Settings Without Editing Config Files

Why Use the Config Screen

Config API Mod eliminates the need to manually edit configuration files. The graphical interface prevents syntax errors and makes adjustments intuitive, even for complex mods.

Making Changes

1. Open the config screen for your desired mod (see "Access Config Screens" guide)

2. Navigate to the category containing the setting you want to change

3. Adjust the value using the appropriate control (slider, toggle, dropdown, or text input)

4. Look for a Save or Apply button to confirm your changes

Changes Take Effect

Depending on the mod, changes may apply immediately or require restarting your world/game. The config screen usually indicates if a restart is needed.

Finding Specific Settings

If a mod has many options, use the search function (if available) to quickly locate a setting by name. Type keywords related to what you want to adjust.

Avoiding File Conflicts

Using the config screen keeps your settings synchronized with the mod's internal system, preventing conflicts that can occur when manually editing config files.
