Restrict a Command to Specific Players

Add Players to a Command Whitelist

Use the whitelist system to lock commands behind player-specific permissions. This prevents unauthorized players from executing sensitive commands.

Steps:

1. Identify the command you want to restrict (for example, /give, /gamemode, or a custom command)

2. Run /whitelist add [player] [command] in the server console or as an admin

  • Replace [player] with the exact username
  • Replace [command] with the full command name (without the slash)

3. Repeat for each player who needs access

4. Test by having the player attempt the command—they should now be able to use it

Verify the Whitelist is Working

Have a non-whitelisted player try the restricted command. They should see either the default "no such command" message or your custom branding message (if configured). This confirms the restriction is active.

To remove access later, use /whitelist remove [player] [command] with the same syntax.
