Using Command Structures Mod for Jigsaw and Feature Testing
Testing Custom Structures and Features
Command Structures Mod is a development utility aimed at modders and datapackers who work with world generation. Its purpose is to make creating and testing custom jigsaw structures, configured features, and placed features faster and less tedious.
The mod adds several commands for spawning and organizing structure components directly in the world. /spawnstructure lets you place a full custom jigsaw structure, while /spawnpieces spawns individual NBT components so you can inspect how each piece fits together. For worldgen features, /spawnfeature and /spawnplacedfeature give you precise control over testing configured and placed features without repeatedly regenerating terrain.
Because these commands target specific pieces and features, you can iterate on a single component in isolation rather than searching for it in naturally generated chunks. This shortens the debug loop when tuning structure layouts or feature placement.
To use the mod, install it like any other development tool, then run the relevant command in a test world. Exact syntax and arguments are best confirmed in-game, since the mod exposes them through its command interface.
