Set Up Your First Hotkey Command

Access the Config Screen

Open Mod Menu (usually by pressing M by default, though this varies by setup). Find Command Keys Mod in the mod list and click its config button to open the configuration GUI.

Create a New Hotkey Entry

In the config screen, you'll see options to add a new command or message. Type the exact text or command you want to execute into the text field. This can be:

  • A chat message (e.g., Hello everyone!)
  • A command (e.g., /say Server announcement)
  • Commands with arguments (e.g., /give @s diamond 64)

Assign a Hotkey

Next to your text entry, you'll find a field to set the hotkey. Click it and press the key combination you want to use (single keys, or combinations like Ctrl+K). Choose something you won't accidentally press during normal gameplay.

Save and Test

Confirm your settings. Exit the config screen and test your hotkey in-game. Press the key combination you assigned—your message or command should execute instantly without opening the chat box.
