Understand How Knockback Works Without Attack Cooldown
Knockback Behavior Changes
With no attack cooldown, knockback mechanics work differently. Each hit applies knockback immediately, and rapid clicks create cumulative knockback effects.
How Knockback Functions
1. Every hit applies knockback — unlike 1.9+ where cooldown limits knockback frequency, each click pushes enemies
2. Rapid clicks = rapid knockback — spam-clicking pushes mobs back faster and further
3. Knockback enchantment stacks — weapons with Knockback I or II push enemies even harder with each hit
4. Shields don't prevent knockback — blocking reduces damage but doesn't stop you from being pushed
Combat Implications
- You can knock mobs off cliffs or into hazards much more easily
- Rapid clicking can pin enemies against walls or corners
- Knockback becomes a primary combat strategy, not just a bonus effect
- Mobs with knockback resistance (like Wardens) are less affected by spam-clicking
Use knockback strategically to control enemy positioning and create advantages in tight spaces.
