Adjust Lighting Intensity for Better Visibility

Access Shader Settings

Open the shader options menu while in-game by pressing the designated key (usually found in your controls menu under "Shader Options"). This opens the configuration panel where you can fine-tune how the mod renders light.

Modify Light Levels

Look for settings related to sunlight brightness, shadow intensity, and ambient light. If the ultra-realistic lighting makes caves too dark or daytime too washed out, adjust these sliders:

  • Increase ambient light if indoor areas feel too dim
  • Reduce shadow intensity if shadows under trees block too much visibility
  • Lower sunlight brightness if the sun creates harsh glare

Test Your Changes

Move between different environments—caves, forests, and open plains—to see how your adjustments affect each area. Some players prefer dimmer shadows for atmosphere, while others prioritize being able to see mobs clearly. Experiment until the balance feels right for your playstyle.

Save Configuration

Once satisfied, confirm your changes are saved. The mod will remember these settings for future sessions.
