Make Caves and Underground Areas More Visible
Increase Cave Lighting
Colorfull Reimagined's bright aesthetic naturally illuminates dark spaces, but caves can still feel shadowy. Open shader settings and look for ambient light or global illumination controls. Raising these values floods caves with soft, colorful light.
Boost Emissive Block Brightness
Glowstone, lanterns, and other light sources may need enhancement. Find emissive or glow intensity settings and increase them so underground light sources cast more visible, colorful illumination on surrounding blocks.
Adjust Shadow Darkness
If caves feel dark despite high ambient light, shadows might be too pronounced. Reduce shadow intensity or increase shadow brightness to prevent deep black areas from dominating your view.
Use Torch and Lantern Placement Strategically
While adjusting shaders helps, placing additional light sources (torches, lanterns, candles) in caves works alongside shader settings. The shader will render these brightly and colorfully, creating a more navigable space.
Test Different Times of Day
Underground lighting is independent of day/night cycles, but your monitor's brightness and gamma settings affect perception. Adjust your display settings if caves still feel too dim after shader tweaks.
