Fix Washed Out or Overly Dark Visuals
Diagnose the Problem
Determine whether your issue is too much brightness (washed-out colors) or insufficient brightness (dark areas). Spend time in both daylight and caves to identify the pattern.
Adjust Exposure and Contrast
If the world looks bleached, reduce the exposure or brightness slider in Shader Options. If caves and interiors are too dark despite the shader's brightening feature, increase exposure instead. Small adjustments often make a big difference.
Check Time of Day
The shader updates sky appearance based on day/night cycle. If you're testing during sunset or sunrise, colors may naturally appear different. Visit the same location at noon and midnight to see the full range.
Reset to Defaults
If adjustments aren't helping, reset shader settings to default and start over with small, incremental changes. This helps you identify which slider actually controls the effect you want to change.
