Troubleshoot Trim and Dye Application Issues
Smithing Table Not Accepting Items
Ensure you're placing items in the correct slots: armor/tool first, trim pattern second, dye third. The smithing table will only produce output when all three slots are properly filled with compatible items.
Dye Not Showing on Armor
Some armor materials may display dyes more subtly than others. Leather armor shows colors most vividly, while metal armor displays dyes as tints. Try different dye colors to find one that shows clearly on your chosen armor type.
Trim Pattern Compatibility
All trim patterns work with this data pack, but ensure you're using actual trim patterns (obtained from trim smithing or loot). Regular decorative items won't function as trims.
Reapplying Colors
If you want to change a dye color, simply use the already-dyed armor as input and apply a new dye. The previous color will be replaced with your new selection. There's no penalty for changing your mind.
