Colorful Grasses Resource Pack: What It Changes

Overview

Colorful Grasses is a resource pack rather than a content mod. It does not add new blocks, items, or recipes — instead it retextures two existing plants so they read as more varied and colorful in the world.

The two affected blocks are Grass and Fern. In vanilla, both use a fairly uniform green palette, which can make large fields and forest floors look flat and repetitive. This pack replaces those textures with a wider spread of hues, so patches of grass and fern blend into a more natural, less monotone landscape.

How It Works

Because it is a resource pack, it works purely on the visual layer. Nothing about block behavior, drops, growth, or world generation changes. Grass and fern still function exactly as they always have — the difference is cosmetic only.

That also means it is safe to add or remove at any time. Existing worlds keep their blocks; only the way they are drawn changes. It can be combined with other packs that do not touch the same two textures.
