Switch Between Different Color Modes
Locate the Mode Selection Menu
Access shader options through Video Settings > Shaders > Shader Options. Find the color mode or palette selector—this is usually labeled as "Mode," "Color Swap," or "Palette."
Understand Available Modes
The shader includes several distinct modes: red-green swaps that simulate deuteranopia or protanopia, blue-green blending that tints forests and oceans similarly, desaturation modes that reduce red intensity, and warm-cool modes that push reds and yellows toward warmth while cooling blues.
Cycle Through or Select Directly
Some implementations let you cycle through modes with a button, while others offer a dropdown menu. Test each mode in different biomes to see how they affect your world. A snowy village will look dramatically different under each palette.
Choose Based on Your Needs
If you're exploring for aesthetic variety, cycle modes frequently. If you want consistency for building or navigation, lock in one mode. Different modes highlight different landscape features—experiment to find which helps you see terrain details most clearly.
