Simulating Color Blindness in Minecraft

Using the Color Blindness Effect

The Color Blindness Mod adds player effects that change how colors appear in-game, letting you simulate different types of color blindness. To apply an effect, use the command /effect give colorblindness: followed by the specific type you want. The mod offers several variants: Achromatomaly (color weakness), Achromatopsia (full color blindness), Deuteranomaly (green weakness), Deuteranopia (green blindness), Protanomaly (red weakness), and Protanopia (red blindness). Each type alters your perception of in-game colors in a distinct way, so the world will look noticeably different from the vanilla experience. This is useful for understanding how colorblind players might see the game, or simply for experimenting with a different visual perspective. The effect works like any other status effect, so it can be applied, removed, and managed through the usual effect commands.
