Understand Why You Need CodxLib for Codx Mods

What CodxLib Does

CodxLib is a shared library that powers all mods in the Codx collection. Instead of each mod carrying duplicate code, they all pull from CodxLib. This keeps your mods folder smaller and prevents conflicts.

How It Helps Your Game

When you install a Codx mod without CodxLib, the mod won't load—it depends on CodxLib's platform services to function. CodxLib provides:

  • Common multiloader code (works across different platforms)
  • Update checking infrastructure for all connected mods
  • Shared utilities that prevent crashes and instability

Installation is Simple

Just drop CodxLib into your mods folder once. Every Codx mod you add afterward will automatically use it. You don't need to configure anything—it works in the background silently. Think of it like a foundation: you build multiple houses on top of it, but you only need one foundation.
