Set Up Utility Mods Without Game Crashes
Preparing Your Modpack
Utility mods like inventory managers, building tools, and automation helpers often share common code. Without CodeChicken Core Mod, they can conflict. This mod acts as a central library so they all speak the same language.
Installation Steps
1. Place CodeChicken Core Mod in your mods folder before launching with your utility mods.
2. Load Minecraft. The mod integrates automatically—no configuration needed.
3. Add your utility mods one at a time and test each launch. This helps identify if any mod has separate issues.
4. Verify stability by playing for several minutes. Check for lag spikes or crashes.
Troubleshooting
If you still experience crashes:
- Ensure CodeChicken Core Mod is placed *before* utility mods load
- Check that mod versions are compatible with your Minecraft version
- For 1.11+, you may need CodeChickenLib instead of Core Mod
- Review crash logs for mods that don't use CodeChicken's shared systems
The mod works best when utility mods are designed to use its base code.
