Resolve Mod Compatibility Crashes
Why Crashes Happen
When multiple mods try to use the same game systems (like inventory handling or rendering), they can conflict and crash your game. CodeChicken Core Mod prevents this by providing shared, standardized code that all connected mods use instead of creating their own versions.
How to Use It
1. Install CodeChicken Core Mod alongside your other mods in your mods folder. It works silently in the background—you won't see it in-game.
2. Load your modpack normally. The mod automatically detects when other mods need its shared systems and supplies them.
3. If crashes still occur, check your crash log for conflicting mod names. CodeChicken Core Mod can't prevent crashes from mods that don't use its systems, but it eliminates conflicts between mods that do.
4. For Minecraft 1.11+, CodeChicken Core Mod's features merge into CodeChickenLib, so you may only need CodeChickenLib installed instead.
What You'll Notice
You won't see any new blocks, items, or UI elements. The mod's entire purpose is preventing crashes and ensuring utility mods work together smoothly.
