Start a Coconut Farm from Scratch

Finding Your First Coconut

Explore beaches and warm coastlines until you locate a natural coconut palm tree. Look for tall trees with fronds and hanging coconuts in various stages of growth. The ripe coconuts are brown and fully mature—these are the ones you need.

Planting and Growing

Harvest a ripe brown coconut by breaking it. You now have a plantable coconut. Find a suitable location with sand or dirt blocks and place your ripe coconut directly onto the ground. The coconut will begin sprouting into a new palm tree.

Palm trees grow tall and take time to mature. Once established, your tree will eventually produce its own coconuts through the natural growth cycle: flowers → green coconuts → ripe brown coconuts.

Expanding Your Farm

As your trees mature and produce ripe coconuts, harvest them and plant more across your chosen area. Space trees adequately to prevent crowding. Over time, you'll have a sustainable farm producing regular coconut harvests for food, wood, and crafting materials.
