Creating Your Tournament

Custom tournaments let you enforce competitive rules like species bans, item restrictions, and level caps across multiple matches.

1. Open the battle setup menu from your Cobblemon interface

2. Select Custom Battle Format or Tournament Mode

3. Configure your clauses:

• Species Clause: Prevent duplicate Pokémon on the same team
• Item Clause: Ban held items or restrict specific ones
• Level Cap: Set a maximum level all Pokémon must obey
• Species Bans: Blacklist overpowered or unwanted Pokémon

Applying Bets and Rewards

You can attach item stakes to matches:

1. Enable Item Betting in tournament settings

2. Specify which items losers forfeit to winners

3. Set a Level Cap if you want fair competition across different player progression levels

4. Confirm all rules before inviting opponents

Both players must have the mod installed to see and enforce these custom rules. Rules display in the pre-battle lobby so everyone agrees before fighting.
