Customize Poke Stop Spawn Settings
Editing Configuration
Poke Stop frequency and placement are controlled through the mod's configuration file. You can adjust how often they appear and which biomes host them.
Finding the Config File
Open the mod's jar file or locate the poke_stops.json configuration file in your mod folder. This file controls spawn behavior.
Key Settings
The configuration allows you to:
- Adjust spacing: Change the distance between Poke Stops so they're closer together or more spread out
- Set spawn frequency: Control how often new stops generate as you explore
- Select biomes: Use biome tags to specify exactly which biome types can host Poke Stops
Making Changes
Edit the JSON file with a text editor, then save and reload your world. Changes take effect on newly generated chunks, so existing Poke Stops won't move—only new ones will follow the updated rules.
This lets you create a world tailored to your playstyle: frequent stops for casual exploration, or sparse stops for a survival challenge.
