Cobblemon: PlayerXP Mod Guide

Earning Player XP from Pokémon Battles

Cobblemon: PlayerXP is a small add-on that ties player experience directly to Pokémon battles. When you win a battle, your player character gains XP — either as experience points or as levels — instead of only your Pokémon benefiting.

This matters most in worlds where hostile monsters do not spawn naturally. In those worlds, the usual ways of gaining player XP (fighting mobs, trading with villagers, mining, smelting) may be limited or unavailable. This mod gives you a reliable alternative: keep battling and keep leveling.

The mod also ships with a config file. You can edit it manually to adjust how the mod behaves to suit your world. No in-game commands or special items are required — the mechanic works automatically once the mod is installed alongside Cobblemon.

If you want to level up through Pokémon battles rather than grinding mobs or villagers, this mod is the straightforward solution.
