Accessing Your Team

Open your inventory to see your Pokémon. Your active team consists of up to six Pokémon that travel with you and participate in battles. Additional caught Pokémon are stored in your Pokémon storage system.

Switching Team Members

You can swap Pokémon in and out of your active team at any time through the team management interface. This lets you adjust your lineup based on upcoming gym leaders or wild encounters. Consider type variety—having coverage against multiple types makes battles easier.

Healing Your Team

After battles, your Pokémon may be injured or have reduced health. Visit Pokémon Centers in towns to fully restore all team members' health and status conditions for free. Centers are marked on the map and found in every major town.

Training Considerations

Keep your team at similar levels to avoid overleveling one Pokémon. Battle trainers on routes and wild Pokémon to gain experience evenly across your team. This ensures balanced progression and prevents later gym leaders from being too difficult.

Tip: Catch Pokémon with different types to handle various gym leader specialties.
