How to Use the Pokemon Trial Spawner for Wave-Based Battles

The Pokemon Trial Spawner is the combat-focused sibling of the normal spawner. Instead of trickling out Pokemon forever, it runs a trial: it spawns a set of Pokemon, waits for the player to defeat them, and then advances. This makes it the block you want for gym-style rooms, boss arenas, and dungeon encounters.

Placing and arming the trial

Place the block where you want the fight to happen and interact with it to open its configuration. Assign the Pokemon that should appear in the trial. The trial spawner is designed to be triggered by a player entering the area, so build the arena around it rather than walling it off. Give the Pokemon room to path toward the player and make sure there is a floor at the right level.

Running the encounter

When a player approaches, the trial begins and the configured Pokemon spawn. Defeat them all to complete the wave. Depending on how the block is configured, it may then spawn another wave or finish and go on cooldown. If the trial never starts, check that a player is actually within trigger range and that the spawn area is not obstructed. If it starts but no Pokemon appear, re-open the interface and confirm the Pokemon entry was saved correctly.
