Use Clearest Glass with Mods That Add New Glass Types

Compatibility Overview

The Clearest Glass Resource Pack works with mods that add new glass blocks, but only if those mods use standard vanilla glass textures as their base. Mods with custom-designed glass textures won't be affected.

How It Works

When a mod creates a glass block using vanilla texture paths, the Clearest Glass Resource Pack automatically applies its clear texture to that block. The mod's color or special properties remain unchanged—only the visual appearance becomes smooth and clear.

Testing New Glass Blocks

1. Install a mod that adds glass variants

2. Load the world with Clearest Glass active

3. Place the new glass block

4. If it appears clear and smooth, the mod uses compatible textures

5. If it keeps its original noisy texture, the mod uses custom textures

Limitations

Mods with heavily customized glass designs (unusual colors, patterns, or special effects) may not work with this pack. Check the mod's documentation or community forums to see if texture pack support is mentioned. Some mod authors provide their own texture packs for compatibility.
