Fixing Visible Seams Between Glass Panes and Blocks

Why seams appear

Connected textures only merge when the game recognizes neighboring blocks as part of the same surface. If you see lines between panes, it is usually one of three things: another resource pack overriding this one, a block breaking the run (a frame, a different color, or a non-glass block), or a lighting/shading edge that looks like a seam but is not one.

How to diagnose and fix

1. Load only this pack plus vanilla-faithful packs, then reload resources. If seams vanish, a conflicting pack was the cause — move this pack higher in the list.

2. Build a straight line of the same glass type and walk along it. Seams at every block mean connected textures are not active; seams only at corners are normal shading.

3. Check for interruptions: a single different-colored pane, a glass block next to a pane, or a solid block in the middle will stop the merge at that point. Replace the odd block with the matching type.

4. For panes specifically, remember they connect to adjacent panes and to solid blocks they can attach to. A pane floating alone will always show its own edges.

Design tip

If you want a deliberate break — like a mullion between window sections — insert a solid block or a contrasting color on purpose. The pack will respect that boundary and keep each section clean.
