How CleanCut Mod Works

Attacking Through Obstructions

CleanCut Mod is a spiritual successor to SwingThroughGrass. It lets you land melee attacks on enemies even when something is in the way, so tall grass, plants, and other non-solid blocks no longer block your swings.

For an attack to connect through an obstruction, three conditions must be met:

1. You are within the correct reach distance for your attack.

2. The block in the way either has no collision or has a hardness of 0.0.

3. The target entity is collide-able and living.

If all three are true, your hit passes through the obstruction and damages the enemy. If the blocking block is solid or has real hardness, the attack is stopped as usual. The mod is available for both Forge and Fabric, so the same behavior applies regardless of which loader you use.
