CIT Resewn: Custom Item Textures Without OptiFine

How CIT Resewn Works

CIT Resewn brings OptiFine-style Custom Item Textures (CIT) to Minecraft without requiring OptiFine itself. It reads the same MCPatcher/OptiFine CIT format, so existing CIT resource packs work as-is. The mod runs entirely client-side and stays lightweight, meaning it won't affect servers or other players.

What You Can Change

A single item can swap its texture, model, or even its armor and elytra appearance. CIT conditions are based on properties like the item's name, lore, damage value, stack size, NBT data, or enchantments. For example, renaming a diamond sword can give it a unique blade, a chestplate can display special armor art, or an item's model can change based on its NBT tag.

Using It

Install CIT Resewn alongside your other mods, then drop in any CIT resource pack. Custom textures apply automatically once the pack is active and the item matches a CIT rule. No configuration is needed for basic use, and it works alongside your existing resource packs.
