Locate and Harvest Crops

Explore the pumpkin biome and collect pumpkins as your primary food source. You can also find mushrooms in the mushroom biome, which can be cooked in a furnace for food. Gather seeds from grass blocks by breaking them with a tool.

Create a Farm

Designate a flat area in your base for farming. Use dirt or grass blocks to create rows for crops. Plant pumpkin seeds and regular seeds (wheat) by right-clicking on tilled soil. Water is essential—create a small water channel using a bucket, or use cauldrons to collect rain.

Expand Your Food Sources

Once established, breed animals if you find them, or focus on crop rotation. Pumpkins grow relatively quickly and provide reliable nutrition. Store excess food in chests to prepare for longer projects or emergencies.

Automate Harvesting

As you progress, consider building a larger farm layout that maximizes your available space on the ring. This ensures you never run out of food while building or exploring.
