Optimize Cloud Rendering and Shadows
Locate Cloud Settings
Open the Iris shader menu and find CineReal's cloud configuration options. These typically appear in a dedicated section or under "Volumetric" or "Atmosphere" settings.
Adjust Cloud Density and Size
Cloud density controls how thick and opaque the volumetric clouds appear. Higher density creates more dramatic, film-like clouds but uses more GPU resources. Cloud size or scale settings determine how large individual cloud blocks appear—larger clouds look more cinematic, while smaller ones feel more detailed.
Configure Cloud Shadows
Enable or adjust cloud shadow intensity to control how dark shadows cast by clouds appear on the ground. Stronger shadows create more dramatic lighting but may make overcast days feel too dark. Weaker shadows maintain visibility while still showing cloud movement.
Performance Tuning
If clouds cause stuttering, reduce cloud density or lower shadow resolution. Test changes by flying high into the sky to observe cloud behavior from different angles.
Time of Day Testing
Visit your world at different times—sunrise, noon, and sunset—to see how cloud shadows interact with the sun's angle and the filmic color grading.
