Adjust Reflection Quality and Water Appearance
Access Shader Settings
Open the Iris shader options menu while in-game by pressing the designated shader settings key (default varies by launcher). Navigate to the CineReal section to find reflection and water-related parameters.
Configure SSR Reflections
Look for options controlling screen-space reflection (SSR) intensity and distance. Increasing reflection quality will show more detailed reflections on water and solid blocks, but may impact performance on lower-end systems. Decrease these values if you experience frame rate drops.
Adjust Water Fog and Clarity
Find water fog distance or underwater clarity settings. These control how far you can see while submerged and affect the appearance of god rays. Shorter distances create a more atmospheric, murky underwater experience, while longer distances reveal more detail.
Fine-tune Reflection on Solids
Some CineReal versions allow separate control over reflections on non-water blocks. Disable reflections on solid surfaces if you want to reduce visual complexity while keeping water reflections sharp.
Save and Test
Apply your changes and swim or stand near water to preview the effect. Adjust incrementally until you find the balance between visual quality and performance that suits your hardware.
