Enhance Water Reflections and Clarity

Access Water Reflection Settings

Open your shader settings and locate the water or reflection section. Cinematix Shaders offers several options to control how water mirrors the sky, clouds, and nearby terrain.

Adjust Reflection Quality

Increase the reflection detail or reflection resolution slider to make water surfaces more accurately mirror their surroundings. Higher values create sharper, more detailed reflections but demand more GPU power. Lower values produce softer, more stylized reflections that still look good and run faster.

Customize Water Appearance

You can also adjust water transparency to control how clearly you see through to the bottom, and water wave intensity to make the surface more or less turbulent. Experiment with these together—calm, clear water works well for lakes and oceans, while rougher, more opaque water suits rivers and waterfalls.

Test in Different Lighting

Visit water at different times of day and in different weather conditions. Reflections look most striking during sunrise, sunset, and clear nights when the sky is colorful.
