Enhancing Water Reflections
Locate Water Reflection Settings
In your shader options, find the water or reflection section. This may be labeled as "Water Quality," "Reflection Settings," or "Surface Reflections."
Adjust Reflection Parameters
Common options include:
- Reflection Quality: Higher settings render more detailed reflections of the sky, clouds, and nearby blocks on water surfaces.
- Reflection Distance: Controls how far reflections extend. Wider distances show reflections of distant terrain.
- Water Transparency: Adjusts how clearly you can see through water to the blocks and terrain below.
Observe Changes in Different Locations
Visit various water bodies to see how your adjustments look:
- Large oceans show off distant reflections well
- Small lakes reveal how reflections interact with nearby terrain
- Rivers demonstrate reflection quality at different angles
Balance Quality and Performance
Higher reflection settings improve the cinematic look but increase GPU load. If reflections cause frame rate drops, reduce the reflection quality or distance slightly.
