Understand What Happens During Respawn

The Respawn Sequence

When your character dies, Cinematic Respawn Mod replaces the standard red death screen with a smooth, cinematic camera animation. Understanding this flow helps you know what to expect.

What Occurs

1. Your character takes fatal damage and dies

2. Instead of the red death menu appearing, the camera smoothly transitions

3. The animation guides you visually back toward your spawn point

4. Once the sequence completes, you respawn at your set spawn location

5. You regain control and can resume playing immediately

Game Rules Still Apply

The mod only changes the visual presentation of death—it doesn't alter Minecraft's core mechanics. You still lose your items (unless keepInventory is enabled), experience, and any other consequences of dying. Your spawn point follows normal Minecraft rules: either your bed, your respawn anchor, or the world spawn if neither exists.

The cinematic camera is purely aesthetic and doesn't affect gameplay balance or server rules.
