Enable Shadow Distance Options

In the Shader Options menu, find the shadow-related settings. CineDream Plus includes controls for shadow range and softness. Increase shadow distance to cast shadows further across your world, creating more dramatic cinematic depth.

Adjust Shadow Softness

Locate the shadow softness or penumbra slider. Higher values create softer, more realistic shadow edges—ideal for the mod's movie-like aesthetic. Lower values produce sharper shadows for a more stylized look.

Optimize for Your Hardware

If performance drops significantly, reduce shadow distance or resolution. The mod's cinematic effect relies on quality shadows, but you can balance visual impact with frame rate by adjusting these values incrementally.

Observe in Different Environments

Test your shadow settings in forests (dense shadows), open plains (long dramatic shadows), and underground caves (ambient shadow depth). The mod's lighting system interacts differently with various terrain types, so adjustments may need tweaking per location.
