Troubleshoot Cape Display Issues
Understanding cape behavior
CICADA Cape Fix Mod is designed to stop all cape fetching from the CICADA library. If you're still seeing unexpected capes or texture issues, it's important to identify the source.
Diagnostic steps
1. Confirm the mod is in your mods folder and appears in your mod list
2. Check that you're running a compatible Minecraft version
3. Verify no other mods are adding capes to your character
4. Restart the game completely — sometimes cape data caches until reload
5. Look at your character model in inventory; capes appear as overlays on the back
If issues persist
If you see a cape after these steps, it may be coming from a different source:
- Another mod that adds cosmetics or capes
- A server-side cape system (not controlled by CICADA)
- Cached texture data from a previous session
CICADA Cape Fix Mod only handles the CICADA library's cape system. Other cape sources won't be affected by this mod.
