Disable the Update Reminder Cape

How the mod works

CICADA Cape Fix Mod automatically prevents the CICADA library from displaying the update reminder cape on your character. Once installed, this happens in the background without any configuration needed.

Verify the cape is removed

1. Launch Minecraft with the mod installed

2. Load into a world or server

3. Open your inventory and look at your character model on the left side

4. Check your back — you should see only your chosen skin texture, with no cape overlay

5. If you previously had the update reminder cape visible, it will no longer appear

If the cape still shows

Make sure the mod is properly loaded by checking your mod list in the main menu. The mod runs silently, so you won't see notifications or messages — the absence of the cape is the confirmation that it's working correctly.

The mod intercepts cape fetching at the library level, so no manual cape removal or skin re-upload is required. Your custom skin appearance is preserved automatically.
