How to Disable the Fade Effect for a Vanilla Look
When You Might Want It Off
Some players prefer the instant chunk pop of vanilla, especially when recording, using shaders that already soften the transition, or playing on very low-end hardware. Chunks Fade In lets you turn the effect off without removing the mod.
Turning the Animation Off
Open the mod's config through Mod Menu. Look for the main toggle or the animation-type option. Setting the animation to a "none" or "instant" style, or flipping the master enable switch, will make chunks appear immediately as they load. Save and close.
Verifying the Change
Walk into unloaded terrain or use a teleport command to jump to a fresh area. If chunks snap into place with no fade, the setting took effect. If they still fade, check whether there is a second config file or a per-world override that is re-enabling the animation.
Keeping the Mod Installed
Leaving the mod in place while disabled is fine and lets you re-enable the effect later without restarting your mod setup. If you later add shaders or change render distance, revisit the config — a short fade often looks better than none once other visual settings change.
