How to Change the Chunk Loading Animation Style

Opening the Config

Chunks Fade In ships with several animation presets, so the first thing to do is pick the one that matches your taste. Open the mod list screen, find Chunks Fade In, and click the config button (this requires Mod Menu to be installed). You can also reach the same options from the in-game pause menu if the mod exposes a shortcut there.

Choosing an Animation

Inside the config you will see a dropdown or cycling option for the animation type. The available styles are inspired by Chunk Animator, so you can expect options such as a fade-in, a slide/drop from above, and similar transitions. Cycle through them and watch the preview or simply close the menu and fly around to see the effect live.

Tuning the Timing

Alongside the animation type there are sliders that control how long each chunk takes to appear and how the transition is eased. Shorter durations feel closer to vanilla; longer ones make the fade more noticeable. Adjust, then reload a few chunks by walking or teleporting to confirm the change. If you dislike the result, reset to defaults and start again.

Per-World vs Global

Note whether the mod stores these settings globally or per profile. If it is global, every world uses the same animation. Test in a fresh world before committing to a style you like, since chunk loading behaviour is most obvious when terrain is generating for the first time.
