Create a World with Beta 1.7.3 Terrain

Access the World Customization Menu

When creating a new world, you'll see the mod's customization interface. This replaces the standard terrain settings and lets you pick from classic landscape generators.

Select Beta Terrain

1. In the world creation screen, locate the Terrain Generator option

2. Choose Beta 1.7.3 from the dropdown list of available terrain systems

3. Optionally adjust Biome Generator separately if you want to mix terrain and biome eras (for example, Beta terrain with Alpha biomes)

4. Use the Preview Window to see how your terrain will look before committing

5. Adjust any additional settings like sea level or feature frequency if available

6. Create the world

Tips

Beta terrain is known for its dramatic rolling hills and varied elevation. If the preview doesn't match your expectations, try different biome combinations—the terrain and biome systems are independent, so you have flexibility in mixing eras.
