Troubleshoot Chiseled Bookshelves Not Powering Your Enchantment Table

Verify Mod Installation

Confirm the mod is properly installed and enabled in your mod loader. Check your mod list to ensure "Chiseled Bookshelves Add Enchantment Power" is active. Without the mod, chiseled bookshelves will not power enchantment tables.

Check Bookshelf Placement

Ensure chiseled bookshelves are positioned within the effective range of your enchantment table. They must be close enough to register—typically within a few blocks. Verify there are no obstructions blocking the connection.

Confirm Bookshelves Are Filled

Open each chiseled bookshelf and verify it contains books or enchanted books. Empty bookshelves do not contribute power. Fill all available slots with readable items.

Inspect Enchantment Table

Approach the enchantment table and check the available enchantment levels. If you see only low-level options despite having multiple filled bookshelves nearby, the setup may not be registering correctly. Try breaking and replacing bookshelves, or repositioning them slightly to trigger a recalculation of enchantment power.
