Troubleshoot Low Egg or Chick Production
Check Your Breeding Conditions
Ensure you have at least two adult chickens and seeds in your inventory. Chickens must be close enough to each other to breed. If they're too spread out or separated by walls, breeding won't trigger.
Verify Seed Availability
You cannot breed without seeds. If your farm isn't producing eggs, you may have run out of seeds. Grow wheat, harvest grass, or collect seeds from other sources to resume breeding.
Account for Hatch Failure
Not every egg produces a chick—this is intentional in the mod. If your population isn't growing as expected, breed more frequently to generate more eggs and increase your chances of successful hatches.
Ensure Proper Space
Chickens need room to move and breed. Overcrowded pens may prevent breeding. If you have many chickens in a small area, consider splitting them into multiple pens.
Allow Time for Hatching
Eggs don't hatch instantly. If you're collecting eggs too quickly, you may not be giving them time to hatch into chicks. Be patient and let the hatching process complete.
